On 12 February 2018, the Chairman of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration Igor Gundych and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Ukraine H.E. Mr. Manoj Kumar Bharti talked about establishing cooperation between Zhytomyr and India.
“The Ambassador of India has visited Zhytomyr region for the first time, since Ukraine gained independence. That’s not fair, because we export grain, salt, wood, and paper to India, and import ceramic products and cotton. I am confident that after your visit, our cooperation will intensify and enable business circles to work in different spheres. In addition to ceramic products and cotton, our region is interested in various industries, such as agricultural, wood processing and stone-mining. These industries that can be of interest to your business representatives”, Igor Gundych said.
The head of the region added that in 2017 we received investments from 50 countries of the world, which proves that Zhytomyr region is open to investors and provides them the largest possible assistance.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Ukraine, H.E. Mr. Manoj Kumar Bharti, in turn, offered cooperation between India and Zhytomyr region in agriculture, forestry, stone mining, medicine and cinematography. He also suggested to host Indian cinema days in Zhytomyr region, which will feature 3-5 films with Ukrainian dubbing.
The program of a stay of the Ambassador includes visits to enterprises and higher educational establishments of the region.
